The Kinetic Chromogenic Endotoxin Test Assay utilizes an Amebocyte Lysate reagent co-lyophilized with a chromogenic substrate. The assay is performed in a 37°C incubating microplate reader, where the increase in absorbance at 405 nm is continuously monitored. Endotoxin concentrations are automatically calculated from the reaction kinetics using dedicated analysis software.

Combining the quantitative advantages of kinetic measurement with the specificity of chromogenic detection, this method offers excellent sensitivity, a wide dynamic range, and strong resistance to sample interference, as it does not rely on gel clot formation. It is particularly suitable for complex biological products, including vaccines, monoclonal antibodies, recombinant proteins, nucleic acid therapeutics, and other biopharmaceuticals. The assay provides a detection sensitivity as low as 0.005 EU/mL. (0.001 EU/mL.)
