Product Description: LAL Assay Endotoxin-Free Glass Tubes

Engineered specifically for the Limulus Amebocyte Lysate (LAL) test, these endotoxin-free glass tubes are essential for accurate bacterial endotoxin detection. Manufactured under stringent quality controls, each tube is subjected to a validated depyrogenation process (e.g., dry heat at ≥250 °C) to guarantee a certified endotoxin level below the LAL method’s detection limit (typically <0.005 EU/mL).

Key Features:

  • Non-interfering surface: Borosilicate glass minimizes nonspecific binding and does not leach substances that inhibit or activate the LAL cascade.

  • Uniform wall thickness: Ensures consistent heat transfer during depyrogenation and assay incubation.

  • Secure sealing options: Compatible with screw caps or aluminum foil to prevent airborne endotoxin contamination after processing.

Critical Necessity in LAL Testing:
Endotoxin contamination from sample handling consumables is a major source of false positives/negatives. Conventional “clean” tubes may still contain trace endotoxin or residues that alter lysate reactivity. Using certified endotoxin-free glass tubes eliminates exogenous endotoxin interference, preserving the specificity and reliability of the LAL reaction—whether using gel-clot, turbidimetric, or chromogenic methods. Without them, invalid results could compromise product release (e.g., injectable drugs, medical devices) or patient safety testing.

Application: Required for pharmaceutical QC, clinical diagnostics, and water system monitoring where pyrogen-free conditions are mandatory.
